PEVE Activities
The Post Experience Vocational Education in Information Technology (PEVEIT) is a unit within the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester. PEVE provides an important link between the Computer Science Department and industry, facilitating the dissemination of specialist knowledge into the wider arena through several activities:- Training courses
For the last fifteen years we have provided high class professional training courses in current and advanced technologies. - Post-graduate courses
PEVE provides an entry route to part-time masters programmes to assist companies and individuals in the provision of continuing professional development. - e-Learning
With the advance in technologies for delivery of training material at a distance on-line, PEVE are following a programme of course development that will enable wider participation in our courses, without the trainee needing to leave home or office.
The unit take a very flexible approach to providing solutions best suited to a particular partners problems and have the advantage of access to expertise within the School, utilising all the knowledge in research and teaching, Grade 5* research rating in addition to its excellent rating for teaching.
